Their life-changing affect
Flora London is a fifth-grade teacher and member of the Wenatchee Education Association.
“After fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming an educator, I quickly realized the heroes of my childhood face incredible challenges. As a newer educator, it continues to break my heart seeing overworked and underappreciated colleagues in the staff room while wondering if they are able to see past the stress and remember their life-changing affect. I am concerned for my beloved profession and I couldn’t wait around for others to be the agents of change. I became active in the union as soon as I could. I enjoy being a building rep and was honored to be chosen to represent my local at RA. I want to do whatever I can to protect and advocate for the profession that sprung me from the limits of poverty.”
